Virtual Reality
is a technology that allows users to interact with a computer-simulated environment. These computers can simulate
either a real-like or fantasy-liek enviroment. The limit is your imagination. Most Virtual Reality Environaments
are visual and are viewed through a computer screen or a bionocular-like stereoscopic display. Some simulators have sensory
information such as sound from speakers or headphones. Medical and gaming systems have force feedback for use of tactical
information.
User can interact
with these environments using standard hardware such as a mouse and Keyboard. More advanced systems can use hardware such
as wired gloves.
Environments
can be created to simulate real life situations such as flight simulators which create an environment designed for pilots.
